Last night the Polished Image Team (Robin Fisher, Christiana Greene, and Karla Ayala) co-hosted Fancy Little Things Fashion Show with Sisarina at Relic Restaurant and Lounge to support New Endeavors by Women.  We were also very fortunate to have the show live streamed by Yayastream!  (Check it out)

The event was a major success!  Over 200 attended as local designers and vendors showed their Fall/Winter 2010 collections.

Hosted by Sisarina and Red Sprinkle, the night kicked off with unique styles, patterns & accessories from all local designers. Behind the scenes, POLISHED stylists?Christy Greene and?Karla Ayala styled each individual model from hair & make-up to wardrobe with panache. (Bravo ladies!)?From avant-garde to classic styles, there was something for everyone to be mesmerized by! ?Local DC Fashion Bloggers & Tweeters all made an appearance including the always in high fashion diva,?The Capitol Fashionista and??The District Insider who strutted her stuff on the runway & many more!

Carolina Herrera’s collection evoked memories of when the word ‘Supermodel‘ was first termed ?in the early 90s and names like Naomi, Cindy and Claudia were mere beings of intangible beauty. ?This collection brought deep rouges, coppers and okra colored floral prints flowed seamlessly from one piece to the next. Voluminous sleeves in blouses and dresses added a dramatic element to the collection as well as the ?the incorporation of fur details. Trumpet silhouette evening gowns ?dazzled with its meticulous beading and ruffle details. The models wore a?smoky eye with accented cheekbones in hues of copper and burnt orange, while the hair was a smooth, ?polished straight line ?parted down the?middle and behind the eyes.
