Eco-Beautiful Weddings Magazine Anniversary Party!!!!!

A couple of weeks ago was one of the highlights of my year! It was Eco-Beautiful Weddings Magazine’s 1st Anniversary party. This past year I have been working alongside one of my closest friends Katie Martin (Editor and Chief) to make each issue special. We have been blessed to work with some of the best photographers, designers, writers, and models in the industry. Our event included cocktails, items as shown in the current issues, giveaways, rides in the new Chrevrolet Volt, and a runway show featureing the Fireflies collection designed by Chris Kole of the The Cotton Bride. Take a look at these fabulous photos from one of our favorite photographers Delores from a little bit of whimsy photography.

Eco-Beautiful Magazine Featured in Epoch Times

So, I live a double life! Not only am I the Sr. Personal Stylist/Image Consultant of POLISHED, but I’m also the proud Style Editor of Eco-Beautiful Weddings Magazine. After planning my own wedding to the love of my life, I feel in love with weddings. I adore everything about a wedding, the invitation, flowers, dresses, venue, dancing. Weddings are truly all about LOVE!

So, when Katie Martin asked me to join her staff as the Style Editor of Eco-Beautiful Weddings Magazine a year ago, I quickly said “Yes”. Being raised in California, I understand and totally respect what it means to be Green. My whole life I have been taught to conserve energy and water, recycle, support local growers , shop vintage, re-style items, and care about the environment. What I want every bride to know is that having a green wedding does not mean you give up style. It means you CARE…

Eco-Beautiful Weddings {Fall 2010 Issue}

I am so excited for everyone to view the Fall 201o issue of Eco-Beautiful Weddings Magazine. Everyone worked so hard on this issue and it truly shows! I am the style editor of the magazine, and for this issue I chose Emily Nolan (Twitter – @MLEstyle) to grace the cover. Emily was a joy to work with and totally rocked the editorial shoot. The entire magazine is amazing, but make sure you check out the Claire Pettibone spread!

{Go Green, Why Knot!}

The Aveda/Adele Wechsler National Green Wedding initiative is coming to Washington DC this Sunday to let brides know they have green options for their special day!

This national tour will ultimately end in one bride winning her dream wedding gown and another winning a honeymoon! These are the prizes but our real goal is to educate brides on the little steps they can take to make their special day eco-friendly. There is a lot of waste that can result from a wedding and we are hoping our initiative will help brides become more conscience even after their wedding.

Aveda beauty specialists will be offering brides-to-be and their guests a beauty countdown and hair and makeup tips for the big day, and how-to-maintain reception kisses and the honeymoon.? Adele Wechsler gowns will be presented because being eco-conscious does not mean sacrificing style. DC Brides can also taste wedding cake samples from Sticky Fingers Bakery, view global fair trade eco-jewelry from Alberto Parada and take in floral displays from Park Florist.

The POLISHED team will be there at the Eco-Beautiful Weddings booth, so be sure to stop by and say hello!
