Statement Jewelry Trends for Fall 2010

By admin on Aug 26, 2010 with Comments 0

What better way to punctuate a simple look than with statement jewelry?

When you need that perfect exclamation to a basic look, a statement necklace, cocktail ring, or bold earrings will get the job done.  Perfect for this season’s tailored and clean silhouettes that we’ve seen on the runway for Fall 2010.

As bold accessories continue to be must haves this Fall 2010, I say take your look from tarnished to polished in a matter of seconds with a bold piece of jewelry.

This trend is particularly great for women on the go with wardrobes filled with simple, basic pieces.  Statement jewelry provides an affordable way to add a bit of character to a look that may ordinarily be understated.

Whether you prefer to make a loud statement or a quiet one, let your fashion voice be heard with simple classic looks by adding a great statement piece.  A statement necklace, cocktail ring, or bold earrings are perfect ways to add a bit of color and glamour to your look.

If a bulky necklace full of baubles and stones aren’t you’re thing, don’t shy away from this trend.  I say opt for one that’s a bit understated and less bulky.

The key to pulling off statement jewelry is to not allow the other components of your outfit to compete with the bulk and grandness of your statement of choice.

For instance, stay away from dangly and large earrings that will fight with the volume of the necklace and vice versa.  Keep your look clean with one statement at a time.

Also, statement necklaces often work best with less ornamented outfits, especially on the upper portion of your body. You always want to make a polished statement, not create a shouting fest.

So whether a statement necklace, bold earrings, a cocktail ring, or large bangles and cuffs, this fall affirm your style with jewelry.
