Fall 2010 Handbag Trends

By admin on Aug 18, 2010 with Comments 2

?

Every woman should own a handbag that packs a punch in a variety of ways. She needs a handbag that is multifaceted yet sophisticated.  This fall 2010 season opt for a functional bag that allows you to carry all while maintaining a chic and polished look.

Fall 2010 is going back in time with the drawstring bag.  This style lends itself to the retro feel of the seventies.  The nostalgia of the shape creates a bit of charm and glamour to the casual bucket style bag.  The long straps provide an option of ease as the cross-body style that we were obsessed with for spring/summer.

When it comes to a bag that’s effortless, chic and functional we turn to hobo styles.  Hobo bags whether structured or unstructured are great for everyday.  It doesn’t get any easier than a hobo.  They provide the space we need as women to carry everything except the kitchen sink.

This Fall 2010, what better way to show your lady-like characteristics than with the Lady bag.  The typically structured and chic silhouette is a great way to add an uber-feminine touch to your ensemble this fall.

While choosing the perfect handbag silhouettes to add to your closet, be sure to include Fall 2010’s bold colors, leopard prints and exotic skins.  Handbags are a great way to introduce color and prints to a wardrobe filled with basics.

This fall, don’t be afraid to interject some color and boldness into your wardrobe with this season’s must-have bags.  I say select a carry all that will not only fit your everyday wardrobe needs, but express your personality as well.

(l to r: Marc Jacobs $528, The Sak $199, Topshop $90, Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent $395, DKNY $195, Furla $ 595, Lucky Brand $110, Alexander Wang $850)
