POLISHED BRIDAL CLIENTS – Featured on Essence Online

The POLISHED team had the pleasure of working with Virdina and Kevin after they won the DCCWC $50K Green Wedding Giveaway for Earth Day 2010.  From the moment I met them, I instantly felt the love and companionship that they shared.   I am so delighted that their beautiful wedding and love story was featured on Essence Online last week.

Virdina and Kevin both received Full Bridal Style and Image Consultations for their wedding.  I was so touched when Virdina referred to me as a “Life Changer”.  Read what Virdina had to say about her consultation here.  Prior to winning the DCCWC Green Wedding Virdina had been shopping for wedding gown, however we were able to identify the perfect gown from her list based on her body type, personal scale, coloring, and wedding theme.  She was so excited the day we went to pick up her gown (read here).  POLISHED stylist Christiana Greene assisted Kevin with his attire, showing him that fit is key when picking the perfect tux.  Read what Kevin had to say about about his shopping experience with Christiana here.

I had a great time creating a style inspiration board for Virdina and Kevin that matched their unique sense of style and the Black Broadway theme of their wedding.  This story board served as a wardrobe style guide for their engagement shoot and wedding day looks.

The day of their consultation, Virdina and Kevin were still unsure about their wedding colors.  However after Virdina’s in-depth color analysis the perfect shade of  pink was chosen.  It is important for brides to choose their colors wisely.  Brides should choose a shade of a particular color that compliments them and communicates the feel of their wedding.  Remember, brides will be surrounded by these colors the day of their wedding, therefore beware of colors that are too strong (brides will get lost in the photographs) or too weak (will wash brides out in phototgraphs).
