{Go Green, Why Knot!}

The Aveda/Adele Wechsler National Green Wedding initiative is coming to Washington DC this Sunday to let brides know they have green options for their special day!

This national tour will ultimately end in one bride winning her dream wedding gown and another winning a honeymoon! These are the prizes but our real goal is to educate brides on the little steps they can take to make their special day eco-friendly. There is a lot of waste that can result from a wedding and we are hoping our initiative will help brides become more conscience even after their wedding.

Aveda beauty specialists will be offering brides-to-be and their guests a beauty countdown and hair and makeup tips for the big day, and how-to-maintain reception kisses and the honeymoon.? Adele Wechsler gowns will be presented because being eco-conscious does not mean sacrificing style. DC Brides can also taste wedding cake samples from Sticky Fingers Bakery, view global fair trade eco-jewelry from Alberto Parada and take in floral displays from Park Florist.
